Racing Website Questions, Answered
We’re racers who build websites for drivers, teams, tracks, and series who need a serious digital presence to back up their work on the track.
Working With P1
Do you actually understand racing?
Yes, and not just from watching it on TV. Kelly Pfleiger, the guy who runs P1, owns and competes with Hornet Nation Racing. When you talk to P1, you are talking to someone who understands race weekends, sponsor relationships, series rules, points standings, and what it actually takes to run a racing program. That context shows up in every site we build.
Do you only build sites for motorsports clients?
Motorsports is our primary focus and where we do our best work. We build sites for race drivers, teams, tracks, series, and industry suppliers. We take on a small number of general web projects selectively, but if you are in racing, you are our target client.
Do you work with drivers at all levels?
Yes. We work with grassroots and regional racers all the way up to drivers competing at higher levels. You do not need a factory ride or a six-figure sponsor budget to work with us. If you are actively competing and serious about building your brand, we can work together.
Who actually builds my site?
Kelly builds your site. Not an offshore team, not an intern, not a project manager who passes it off. When you hire P1, you work directly with the person who has been building motorsports sites since 2017
Can I see examples of your work?
Yes. The portfolio at p1webdevelopment.com/portfolio shows completed builds across multiple racing segments. If you want to see something specific to your type of program, reach out and we will point you to the most relevant examples.
Pricing and Packages
How much does a race driver or team website cost?
A Driver and Team Starter Site is $2,995 one-time for the build, plus $75 per month for hosting and maintenance. That covers your full site built on WordPress and Elementor Pro, including a sponsor page, schedule and results section, social media integration, security, and automated backups. No hidden fees after the build.
How much does a race track website cost?
Track website packages start at $4,500 one-time, plus $100 per month for ongoing maintenance. This includes event schedules, ticketing integration, sponsor sections, and everything a track needs to keep fans and competitors informed.
How much does a racing series website cost?
Series and organization websites start at $1,495 one-time, plus $100 per month. Scope varies by series size, so pricing is discussed based on your specific needs. Multi-event schedules, points standings, rule sets, and partner pages are all standard components we build for series clients.
What is included in monthly maintenance?
Monthly maintenance covers hosting, security monitoring, plugin and core updates, automated backups, and up to a set amount of content updates each month, depending on your plan. That means schedule updates, results posts, news items, and photo additions are handled for you without a separate hourly charge.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
The build fee is a one-time payment. Monthly maintenance runs month-to-month after that. We are not going to lock you into a multi-year deal. If the relationship is not working, you can cancel maintenance. Your site belongs to you regardless.
Do I own my website when the build is done?
Yes. The site, the content, the domain, all of it is yours. If you ever decide to move on or handle hosting yourself, we will hand everything over cleanly. We do not hold sites hostage.
The Sponsorship Program
What is the P1 racing sponsorship program?
The sponsorship program is how P1 partners with active racers who want a professional web presence without paying the full build fee upfront. P1 builds your site at no charge in exchange for running our decal on your race car and giving us a shoutout on social media at least once a month during race season. You pay $75 per month for hosting and ongoing maintenance.
Who qualifies for the sponsorship program?
We vet every applicant. You need an active race schedule, a functioning social media presence, and a car that will actually be on track. We are looking for racers who show up consistently and represent the sport well. Garage queens and inactive programs do not qualify.
What does P1 require from sponsored drivers?
Two things. First, a P1 decal at least six inches, placed prominently on the hood, door, or quarter panel. Second, at least one social media post per month during the race season tagging P1 Web Development. That is the whole deal. We also ask for photo rights so we can use race photos and car shots in our own marketing.
How many sponsorship spots are available?
The program is capped at 20 active sponsors. We keep it limited so every driver in the program gets real attention, not just a cookie-cutter site that gets ignored after launch.
What does P1 get out of the sponsorship program?
Honest answer: brand visibility inside the racing community. When our logo is on your car at a regional race, other drivers, track officials, and team owners see it. That credibility inside the sport is worth more to us than a billboard. We are betting on the long game.
The Build Process
What do I need to provide to get started
At minimum: your logo, some photos of your car and program, a list of your sponsors, your race schedule, and a general idea of what you want the site to do. If you do not have professional photos yet, we can work with what you have and update as the season goes on. We have built sites from scratch with less than a full folder of assets.
Do I need a domain or hosting before we start?
No. We handle both. If you already have a domain registered somewhere, we will either transfer it or point it to our servers. If you do not have one yet, we will get it set up as part of the process. Either way, it is handled.
What platform do you build on?
Every P1 site is built on WordPress using Elementor Pro for the page building and Advanced Custom Fields for any custom data structures. It is a proven stack that gives you a fast, maintainable site without locking you into a proprietary platform you cannot take anywhere else.
How long does it take to build my site?
A standard driver or team site takes two to four weeks from the time we have all your assets and content. Larger builds like tracks and series can run four to six weeks depending on scope and complexity. We set a timeline upfront and stick to it.
Can I update my own site after it is built?
Yes. WordPress is built for non-technical users to manage content. We build your site so you can add a news post, update your schedule, or swap a photo without needing to call anyone. If you want us to handle all updates, that is what the monthly maintenance plan is for.
Ongoing Maintenance
What happens if my site goes down during a race weekend?
What happens if my site goes down during a race weekend?** We monitor all client sites around the clock. If something goes wrong, we are on it without you having to chase anyone down. Race weekends are exactly when your site matters most and we take that seriously.
Can I add features to my site down the road?
Yes. A lot of clients start with a solid baseline site and add features as their program grows. Merch stores, event registrations, sponsor portals, custom results pages, and other additions are all things we have done for existing clients. We quote add-ons separately based on scope.
What if I want to redesign my site in a year or two?
Happens all the time. Programs grow, sponsors change, liveries get updated. We can do a full refresh or targeted updates without rebuilding everything from scratch. Existing maintenance clients get priority scheduling on redesign work.

We are based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. We work with racing clients across the entire country. Most of our work is done remotely with no issues, and we are available by phone, email, and video call throughout every project.
How long have you been building racing websites?
P1 has been building motorsports sites since 2017. Kelly has been involved in racing his entire life and started focusing P1 exclusively on the motorsports market because it is the space he knows best and cares about most.
Do you do website reviews if I just want feedback on my current site?
Yes. A Website Review Session is $150 for 60 minutes. You bring your current site, we go through it together on a large screen, and you walk away with a prioritized list of exactly what to fix and why it matters. No sales pitch for additional services. Just an honest assessment from someone who builds racing sites every day. Sessions are limited to two per two-week period.
How do I get started?
